Hi everyone, my name is Kaitlyn and I’m currently in my early 20’s. I’m an artist, photographer and I’m also living a life journey with two rare medical conditions. First one was discovered four years ago when I was 21 years old and a junior in college. I had a rare benign (non-cancerous) brain tumor known as Lhermitte–Duclos disease or (dysplastic gangliocytoma). Then on August 12, 2016, I finally found out the result of genetic testing for PTEN gene (Cowden syndrome). Unforchently, it did come back positive for this rare medical condition also known as (multiple hamartoma syndrome).
Through this website/blog, I hope to inspire others to keep fighting and pushing through their own hard times in life. Rather it’s through health diagnoses, cancer, relationships has fallen apart or lost a job. I want to show everyone that even when things may seem dark and there is no light at the ended up the tunnel. You need to keep a positive mindset and keep moving forward no matter what things maybe looking like.
Even though I’m living life with a rare brain tumor, cowden syndrome, epilepsy, thyroid/calcium and many more challenging medical condition. This life is incredibly hard, painful and scary but I try very hard not to let all of those hard times get be down. I truly do believe this is my path and journey in life is to help others to show them light, positivity, and creativity.
