Yesterday, I called the University of Chicago Medical Center to schedule my brain surgery to have my tumor removed. I ended up leaving a message, saying that I would like to have my surgery on February 23, 2015. I can’t believe, next month at this time I will be starting my long road to recovery. They informed us t also depends on the person. I know I’ve to talk about this before, my tumor is called Lhermitte duclos disease. It’s very RARE and also known as gangliocytoma of the cerebellum.
Hi everyone, this post will be quick and sweet. This past Monday, I finally was able to schedule an MRI and I was quite happy about this be because I was extremely overdue on getting an updated MRI done after having brain surgery. Then I met with my the neurosurgeon on Wednesday and he said everything was looking good and we will see you in aa year. That’s means I still had a clean MRI no growth of the tumor or any other problems so my mom and I were very happy about that.
In this collage/images I wanted to show you all the before and after having brain surgery. If you look on the left, it’s the MRI before and the two smaller images on the right are after from (November 23, 2015). Please share my blog/story with your family and friends it would mean so much to me. I’m living life with a RARE medical condition and even though it’s very hard but I know it’s not the end. I truly do see the light at the end of the tunnel.
